A growth of intolerance toward corruption in Ukraine is recorded
- Almost every fifth has had to give a bribe or a gift personally to solve personal issues during last year. During the last three years, this indicator has decreased from 27 to 18%.
- Moreover, 43% consider that corruption level in their region has increased during last year (three years ago this figure was almost 50%).
- In the opinion of 54% of respondents, corruption is the disease that discourages society’s development; at the same time, 40% consider that corruption is the mechanism, without which Ukrainian society can’t already exist.
- During the last three years these indicators have not changed; along with that, the perception of corruption by Ukrainians becomes different: if in 2013 more than one-third used to justify bribe when it came to solving important personal issues, in 2016 the number of such people has decreased three times (13%).
